The Worsh Apple Watch App

Worsh is a watch-only Apple Watch app. It processes the following information on your Device so it can time a hand wash. The Website does not receive Health, microphone, or motion data from the App.

• Microphone. After you start a session, the microphone is used to detect running water so the timer can start. Audio is not recorded or saved.
• Motion. Motion is used to tell when you are washing your hands so the 20-second timer can start and pause.
• HealthKit. Worsh reads handwashing events to show history on the Watch and writes your sessions to Apple Health, including ones you stop before 20 seconds. Health data stays in Apple Health and on the Watch.

The Company does not receive, store, or process HealthKit, microphone, or motion data on its servers. That information remains on your Device and, for Health data, in Apple Health under Apple's control.

Collecting and Using Your Personal Data

Types of Data Collected

The Website is a static marketing site. It does not run a contact form and does not collect your name, email address, or message content through the Website.

We may automatically collect certain usage data when you visit the Website, including your IP address, browser type, pages visited, visit duration, and device identifiers.

If you email the Company, we receive the address you send from and the content of your message, and we use that only to respond to your inquiry.

Service Providers

The Website is hosted on Vercel (vercel.com). We also use Vercel Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights to collect anonymised page-view data and web performance metrics (such as page load times). This data does not include personally identifiable information and is used solely to understand how the Website performs and is used. Use of Your Personal Data

The Company uses the personal data collected to:

• Respond to inquiries you send by email
• Monitor and analyse usage of the Website
• Comply with legal obligations

Health, microphone, and motion data used by the App are processed on your Device as described above and are not used by the Company for any of these purposes.

Retention of Your Personal Data

We retain personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy or as required by law. Website usage data is processed by Vercel according to its practices. Email you send to the Company is retained only as long as needed to respond and to meet legal obligations. The Company does not retain Health, microphone, or motion data from the App.

Transfer of Your Personal Data

Your data may be processed at the Company's offices and at the locations of our service providers, which may be outside your country or jurisdiction. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, including contractual protections with our service providers.

Delete Your Personal Data

You may request deletion of your personal data at any time by emailing contact@getworsh.app. Note that we may be required to retain certain information to comply with legal obligations. Health data stored in Apple Health is controlled by you through Apple's Health app and settings; the Company cannot delete it from Apple Health on your behalf.

Disclosure of Your Personal Data

We do not sell your personal data. We may disclose it where required by law or to protect the rights, property, or safety of the Company or others.

Security of Your Personal Data

We use commercially reasonable measures to protect your personal data. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

If you are located in the European Union, we process your personal data on the following legal bases: your consent (when you email us), performance of a contract, compliance with legal obligations, and our legitimate interests in operating and improving the Website.
